~Association Scholarships~
Policy
All scholarships given by the Hopedale High School Alumni Association, Inc. are awarded based on strict compliance with policies of equal opportunity, nondiscrimination and avoidance of any real or perceived financial, family, personal, or other conflict of interest. Any HHSAA, Inc. officer or board member, member of the Hopedale High School faculty or staff, or any other person involved in the scholarship selection process who cannot fully comply with this requirement must excuse himself or herself from the selection process.
Criteria
* Academic achievement and potential for future success.
* Demonstrated leadership in school government, extracurricular activities, sports, or other facets of school or community life.
* Contributions to the school and/or the community that demonstrate a commitment to service.
* Demonstrated character qualities to include respect for others, teamwork and reliability.
* Significant achievements in some facet of school or community life.
* Financial need.
These criteria will be considered together in order to arrive at the most complete and accurate assessment of each student's qualifications to receive Alumni scholarships.
Eligibility
Students graduating from Hopedale High School in 2020 and Class of 2019 graduates now in their first year of college. All HHS students are eligible, including those who live in other towns. Hopedale residents who attend school in other towns are not eligible. There are no renewable scholarships.
Available Scholarships
Class of 2020: Two Alumni Scholarships of $2,000 each and five of $1,000 each; two Horne Memorial Scholarships of $3,000 each and six of $5,000 each; Family, Class Reunion and other scholarships, if available.
Class of 2019: Ten Horne Scholarships of $3,000 each..
